DATA CONTROLLER
Beacon is run by Jakob, Stockholm, Sweden. Questions about personal data: jakob@beaconmusic.se
DATA ABOUT ARTISTS
To show who is playing at an event, Beacon processes data about artists and DJs: artist name, genres, press photo, and links to public profiles.
The data comes from public sources: organizers' and venues' websites, ticket platforms' public interfaces, and Spotify's Web API.
The legal basis is legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): informing the public about cultural events. Only professional, already-public information is processed; no sensitive personal data.
Event data is deleted once the event has passed. Artist data is kept for as long as the artist appears in listed events.
DATA ABOUT YOU AS A USER
Beacon requires no account and collects no personal data about you.
• Events you mark as interested are stored only locally in your browser and never leave it.
• The website collects anonymous, cookie-free usage statistics: nothing is stored on your device, no individual profile is built, and no data is shared with advertisers.
YOUR RIGHTS
If you are an artist (or represent one), you can object to the processing or request correction or deletion at any time — email jakob@beaconmusic.se. You also have the right of access and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
IMAGES
Event posters and artist images are displayed via direct link from the source's server and are not stored by Beacon. Rights holders who want an image removed from display can email the address above.
